Turnbull Wine Co is owned and operated by the TURNBULL brothers Mark and Paul, both having clear responsibilities within the business. Mark is the company Winemaking Director with sole responsibility for the quality of all wines produced by Turnbull Bros while Paul as the Sales and Marketing Director is responsible for all sales and distribution of the brand.

They commenced their careers in the Australian Wine Industry back in 1979 when they both graduated from the World famous Winemaking University Roseworthy Agricultural College, close to the Barossa Valley in South Australia.

Since then they have worked for the past 35 years in some of Australia’s most important and influential winemaking and wine sales companies. Some career highlights for Mark have been spending time at The Adelaide University, Australia’s foremast Wine University, as the head lecturer in Winemaking, teaching many young students about modern winemaking science and technology.

Paul has worked and travelled around the World many times particularly USA, UK, Europe and PR CHINA learning about each countries distribution channels and consumer behavior.

Mark makes the Turnbull Brothers wine in two key winemaking regions – McLaren Vale and Mildura. All Luxury Premium Medium and Value wines are made in McLaren Vale while the entry – level wines are made in Mildura.

Mark Turnbull

Director of Winemaking

A Graduate from Roseworthy Agricultural College in Oenology (1977), Mark Turnbull has 35+ years of extensive experience in the Australian wine industry. Roles as winemaker, chief winemaker and winery manager for some of Australia’s major wine companies, reflect a sound production base and a broad understanding of production costs, wine style selection and wine markets.

Immediately prior to jointly establishing Turnbull Wine Co. Mark was Managing Director of Belvidere Winery. He held the position since 1999 and oversaw the construction and operation of the winery from shortly after inception. Belvidere has enjoyed significant expansion and success since that time, with impressive shareholder yields and capital growth.

Paul Turnbull

Director of Sales and Marketing

Paul is a Graduate in ‘Wine Marketing’ from the famous Roseworthy Agricultural College in South Australia. Paul has enjoyed 37 years experience since he graduated in 1977, working in wine and spirits beverage markets both domestically and globally.

During that time Paul has developed a strong understanding of branding, distribution channels and consumer culture in our key export markets of PR China, USA, Canada, UK and mainland Europe.

Paul has work amongst the following global brands : Wolf Blass / Remy Cointreau / Glenfiddich / Tyrrells Wines / Mildara / Krondorf / Yellowglen / Absolute Vodka / Guinness.
